95% of victims know their abuser. 54% of those cases reported were sexual abuse. In 2019 the CAC's in WV saw 4,544 children. WV CAC's are seeing %58 more cases than five years ago. The CAC model saved tax payers approximately $3 million in expenses.

The Logan and Mingo Child Advocacy Centers exist to change those numbers and lead the fight against the cycle of child abuse through a stronger, more approachable model. And over the past year, we’ve made significant progress by providing  196 forensic interviews, 32 medical exams, and therapy to 46 children in our community.

81% of those children were age 12 and under
  • The Logan  & Mingo CACs  numbers continue to grow… Because our model works, more children are coming to our CAC.

  • 32 children received medical exams

How This Benefits Our Community
